Joints are sealed with appropriate compound and tightened to manufacturer torque. 5 ### Tightness Test & Combustion Check We perform a manometer tightness test on the entire gas installation, then light each burner and oven to verify correct gas rate, burner pressure and combustion. 6 ### Demonstrate & Certify We demonstrate safe ignition and operation, brief you on the cooker's controls, and issue the gas installation safety certificate. If a new bayonet socket is required (older properties without one, or where the existing socket is in the wrong position), add £45-£75 depending on pipework run. Built-in oven and hob installation is £130-£180 typically because of the additional fitting work. For range cookers (60 cm width and above) the gas rate is higher than a standard cooker and we always check the supply pipework can deliver enough gas — older 15 mm copper supplies may need upgrading to 22 mm, particularly on long runs. We will advise on survey if upgrade is needed. We work with every major brand including Bosch, Neff, Siemens, Smeg, Belling, Stoves, Rangemaster, AGA, Britannia, Indesit, Beko and Hotpoint.
